Metrolina REIA Board Members for 2016

Our Board Real Estate Investment Chad TateChad Tate, President After over 15 years of successful, progressively responsible roles in Corporate America, Chad, his mom, Diana, and his sister, Carie, found themselves without jobs all within a few months of the crash of 2008.  Chad’s job ended in the autumn of 2009.  That was the turning point for Chad and his family.  In October of 2009, Chad and his team bought their first house with a plan to rehab and retail the house.  They had invested time and money in their real estate education through the Metrolina REIA and some of the educators affiliated with the REIA.  The team rehabbed their first house in a few weeks, sold the house in 9 days and recouped all the money they had invested in their education and still made a profit on the house.  Since then, they have rehabbed scores of houses in our local market and have most recently moved into custom building for high end clients.

Chad is a committed teacher, community leader, and is focused on growing our real estate investor community here in Charlotte.  He coaches youth sports and he and his wife, Laura, have two awesome kids.  Madison is an IB student at North Mecklenburg High School and Isaiah is a student athlete at Mountain Island Charter School.
